SERVICE & MAINTENANCE
Service, maintenance and relocation
A fabric building is a long-term asset. Regular checks of the steel structure, membrane, anchors and connections help preserve its performance and identify wear before it causes disruption.

What a building needs after the first winter
Snow, wind, dirt and changes to the operating environment affect how a building performs over time. Maintenance includes checking the membrane tension, surface condition, connections, anchor fixings and any drainage or ventilation details.
The steel frame is designed for long service: with suitable design, use and upkeep it can remain in service for decades. The membrane may, under suitable conditions, last around 20 years; the 10-year membrane warranty is a separate contractual matter, not a statement of the building’s total lifespan.
Inspection and maintenance programme
The frequency and scope of inspections depend on the building, site exposure and contractual recommendations. ARBENA can discuss periodic inspection, maintenance and any repairs identified.
Membrane tensioning and replacement
Correct tension supports the covering’s performance. During inspection, folds, abrasion, damaged attachments or changes in tension may indicate a need for adjustment or repair. Replacement options are assessed according to the system and its condition.
Steel structure
Inspect sections, joints, fasteners and areas exposed to damage.
Membrane
Check surface condition, tension and attachment points.
Anchoring
Review accessible fixings and changes to supports or ground.
Documented maintenance
Record inspections, required actions and agreed follow-up.
Relocating a building to a new site
Modular systems may offer opportunities for extension or relocation. Before any move, we assess component condition, the new location, snow and wind loads, anchoring and local requirements. A building cannot simply be transferred without a technical review.

Arrange an inspection or discuss relocation
Describe the building, its location, age and the service you need. Photos and the original project reference, if available, can help the technical team assess the request.
